So… It was dropped on me last week that I would be moving to afternoons! Best news I’ve heard since getting hired here in Tulsa. Things are going good, and I like where I am at now. Spent mothers day with the moms in Newkirk, Oklahoma playing bingo and slots. If you want to win, go with my mom. I walked in with $4, and walked out with $215. She told me to sit there and play this zorro machine. I did. I won the jackpot! Good time.

Next.. I’m dating someone. First time since Christmas, but this girl is 100% better than the cheater. We were keeping it quiet, due to her being on the morning show as a intern, but she sucks at lies. That is a good thing, but a bad thing. It’s out now, and I am a happy guy. As you know, she wants to be in radio, and her dad was in radio. She gets it and understands it. She’s pretty rad!

I had a different path growing up. My mother is gay. My father went on a path that made him less than stellar. I can’t tell you everything, but moving around and going to live with other family members set me up for hurdles. I jumped them. I got over them. Things weigh me down sometimes… My family isn’t what you call perfect on either side. They are my family though, and in a strange way… I love’em.

Yea, I wish it was that amazing, story book family. I want that. I want that for my future. I want my future family to be the story book. I want that family that has each others backs through the hard times. I want that house where my kid(s) come back to every Thanksgiving. Will that happen? One would like to think, but who knows?

All I know, is that the journey has been fun.

Ps. If I never get that, I always have my second family. They are amazing and I love them all so much. Anytime I am around them, I feel so comfy. I always have Staci as my sister, and she’s the best one a guy could ever ask for.

There are times where I wish I had the DeLorean so I could floor it to 88mph. There are times I wish I could’ve just said everything I should have. There are times I wonder where everthing would be at if…. That word is a bitch. If.

The good news, there is time. Time to reflect. Time to say those things. Time to make up for lost time. Time flies when you have fun. Time is the future. Time is the reason.

So I had made plans to hang out with someone this weekend, and well our plans fell through. I have to work Saturday night, and since that’s my only night that all my friends have off like me, its a no go.

I think some new things are coming in life though. I like it.

It’s been a few months… since I have posted anything on my blog. Let’s see, life is okay. Nothing real bad is happening. That’s not to say anything good is happening. It’s just been alright. I have a larger roll in this market with digital, and that is a plus. Dated one girl. Lasted a week. My dog has an ear fungus right now, and I have an allergic reaction on my eye. It’s pink eye, but not the bad kind. I’m fat again, but working on it.

Life is just here. Nothing amazing is happening. I miss Jax, a lot.

So… after many months, I got myself the gig I wanted, in a city I wanted. That means spoonradioshow.com will now be hosted by the radio station that I will be working at.

So today I thought, “Hey, I’ll try one of those new grease bombs from KFC.” I really just wanted to try it, to try it. Here are some of the pics I took of me trying the Double Down from KFC:

I don’t know if you can tell…. but I am not impressed. I seriously have a stomach ache, and a headache now… Things like this should not go into your body.
